F.A.Q.
1. Will the wrap fit any size of arrow shaft?
Our 2006 version of Eze-Crest are designed to fit carbon or smaller dia. aluminium shafts. If you need a larger wrap for larger shafts over 22 series arrows please call 888-908-7446 and we will make any style we have in the larger size.
2. Does the overlap affect arrow flight?
No, the overlap will not affect arrow flight. After extensive testing, it has been found that the wrap will not affect arrow flight more than .030 of an inch over a 30 yard shot.
3. Do I have to do any special prepping of the arrow shaft before applying the wrap?
No, all you need to do is make sure that the arrow shaft is dust and oil free. No other special prep is required. This applies to all styles of shafts: carbon, aluminum or wood. That is what makes our product so easy and saves you so much prep time!
4. Is there any prepping of the wrap needed before fletching?
No, as soon as the wrap is applied to the shaft it is ready for fletching. Just wrap and fletch away!!
5. What glues work with the wrap?
We haven't found any glues that will not work on our wraps. Also, you will not need to use as much glue as you have in the past due to the exceptional bonding properties of our wraps. We recommend Fast Fletch from Surefoot Corp.
6. How much do they weigh compared to paint?
Our wraps are about 1/3 the weight of standard dipping. The heaviest wrap we sell is 9.0 grains (Reflective weighs 25 grains, LumaWrap weighs 33 grains), compared to paint which weighs anywhere from 15 to 35 grains depending on the thickness of the paint and the number of coats on each arrow.
7. How can the wraps be removed?
After 5 years of everyone asking the best way to remove wraps, we now have the perfect tool made just for that! The Eze-Strip Blade and Knife have a special curve in the blade milled at just the right angle so that wraps peel like you are peeling a carrot. When used correctly it doesn't damage carbon arrows.
